Mugello by Bike: Among the towns of Mugello

This itinerary shows overall 37.4 km and is suitable for cycle-walkers with a minimum of training.
The road is paved all the way, it is possible to use any type of bicycle. The difficulty encountered is media and parts of slope does not exceed 500 meters length.

The departure is from Borgo San Lorenzo, taking the road that leads to San Piero a Sieve. This section, although it is flat and wooded, needs to be careful because of the heavy traffic.

From San Piero a Sieve we take the road that leads to Barberino di Mugello and we are then introduced in the green area of “Bosco ai Frati”.

Along the airfield of Galliano, where lightweight aircraft take off and land in the meadows, and where you can experience the thrill of flying; we arrive in the small town of Galliano.

From here, we take the direction to Sant'Agata, and begins a winding path up and down in farmhouses and open country, which leads us to the walls of Scarperia. Here we skirt the Circuit of Mugello until to get to Luco di Mugello, home of the potato's tortelli.

In Luco we enter the forest, Ronta direction, to go back to Borgo San Lorenzo.
